Our Story
Everyone knows someone who has had financial hardship due to health issues. Families putting off care, draining savings, or just giving up because the system feels impossible to navigate is all too common today across America.
We believe that healthcare is a human right, not a cause of financial pain and anxiety. Yet for the average family it's one of the biggest expenses (8–10% of average household income, and ~12% for income under $50,000, according to BLS). Medical problems are tied to two-thirds of personal bankruptcies, about half a million families a year.
This implies a failure of current US healthcare. We felt that something had to change, and rather than waiting for others to do it, why not us?
Our Background
Built on trust, technology, and decades of experience
Our background is in building things people trust. Between us, we have over 40 years in financial services, where we built FinTech platforms from scratch with focus on increasing the access to financial services for consumers, all while protecting consumer confidential identity and financial data.
We bring expertise in data, tech, product building, and business strategy. Financial services and healthcare are two of the most heavily regulated industries, and we know how to build within those constraints. Our experience operating in the former is a key strength that will enable us to create scalable infrastructure with the focus on the end user.
We are building a healthcare marketplace platform that gives control back to people, reduces financial burden, and drives better health outcomes.
